Rock Series
An ongoing series where Maddock captures moments in time through image and painting. During the pandemic of Covid-19 Maddock's passion for nature and walking flourished. She began this series of rock pillars choosing spaces in the natural wilderness in Devon as her and her partner's canvas, creating these temporary structures then bringing them to life in painting.
Mythology
Currently two artworks in this series the two featured below named Persephone (left) and Hades (right) tells the tale of an Ancient Greek mythology that explains the seasons.
Pompeii
Pompeii is a painting in response to Maddock's trip to the Vesuvius, Pompeii and Herculaneum. The painting has a 3D element with moulds bursting from its surface, reflecting the victims of Vesuvius' eruption in 79AD. Over the top of the surface is a modern day depiction of Vesuvius and Naples.
